Sumter County Fine Arts Council Annual Juried Art Show
The Coleman Center for the Arts will be hosting the annual Sumter County Fine Arts Council Juried Art Show this spring. The show will be on display from March 19th to April 29th. This juried show will feature the artwork of Sumter County artists, and $600 in cash prizes will be awarded. Works accepted include painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, textiles, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, and stained glass. All works must have been created in 2009 or later.
Birmingham artist Amy Pleasant will serve as this year's juror. Pleasant holds an MFA from the Tyler School of Art. She is represented by the Jeff Bailey Gallery in New York, and recently finished a public installation at the Birmingham Museum of Art.
