The Coleman Center for the Arts (CCA) will be hosting a town hall with international artist Alfredo Jaar on Thursday, October 20, at 6:30 PM in the CCA Gallery. The event is free and open to the public and all are welcome!
Alfredo Jaar is a Chilean born artist, architect, and filmmaker who lives and works in New York City. Over the last four decades his projects and public interventions have been realized around the globe. Jaar’s work has been widely exhibited in the United States and abroad, including at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York, the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago, and at Documenta 11. He received a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1985 and in 2000 received the MacArthur Fellowship. Jaar was recently featured on the PBS documentary series on contemporary art, Art: 21.
