Boooo & Book Bash

Join the Coleman Center for the Arts and Hightower Memorial Library for Boooo & Boook Bash! The fearsome folks on Avenue A team up for an evening of treats, tricks, icky stuff in bowls, slime, crumbly creatures (rock monsters), page-turning prizes, and much more.

The Boooo and Boook Bash! will begin at 4:00 at the Hightower Memorial Library. Make sure to arrive by 5:00 p.m. – a librarian judged costume contest starts at 5:15 p.m. with terrifying tome prizes. Costumes are strongly encouraged (but not required). Ghoulish refreshment will be served. All ages are urged to attend…at their own risk.

Thank you to the Hightower Memorial Library for their continued commitment to Sumter County communities and students particularly through their Tuesday library extended hours.

The Coleman Center for the Arts is a contemporary arts organization founded in 1985. Programs include a community based artist-in-residence program; an exhibition program that features the work of local artists as well as regional and national artist; an education program that offers year round educational opportunities for area youth; a free and public community garden that promotes small scale food production (we’re always looking for volunteers!); and Pop Start, a permanent community pop up that will offer public wifi and a storefront space for artists-community experimentation.

The Hightower Memorial Library has served York since 1987. The collection of the library contains 12,841 volumes, circulates 6,794 items per year, and serves Sumter County residents.
