Coleman Center for the Arts’ Summer Camp 2018: Camp CONNECT

Calling all Sumter County youth grades 1-8: you are invited to Camp CONNECT! Coleman Center for the Arts’ one-week summer camp will run May 29 to June 2, Tuesday through Saturday from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a closing celebration on June 2 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m..

This year’s summer camp theme will be CONNECT – communication, collaboration, creativity, and fun inspire us! Participants will gain experience in visual art, music, performance, creative writing, gardening, and culinary arts. Lunch will be provided.

An all-star group of artist educators will lead sessions at Camp CONNECT including Terry Hayes, Monica Tyran, Catherine Shelton, Kanita Sturdivant, John Paul Taylor, Creighton Tynes, and Tim Maddox!

Space is limited to 30 campers, so don’t wait to sign up! Fill out and turn in a registration form to the Coleman Center office by May 24, 2018. CCA’s summer camp is free of charge. Students must be able to attend all 5 days of camp. Slots are filled on a first come, first serve basis. Registration forms are available at the Coleman Center office (on Avenue A in York), the Hightower Library in York, York West End Jr. High, Livingston Jr. High, Kinterbish Jr. High, North Sumter Jr. High, and online at colemanarts.org.
