Please join us for the planting of Motherpatch, a new project by the Fallen Fruit created in collaboration with the Coleman Center for the Arts (CCA) and the people of Sumter County. Join us on Saturday, May 16th from 8 am to unknown across the street from the CCA to help grow a public participatory artwork—the largest public watermelon patch in the world.
The CCA is also distributing free seed packets so that you can plant your own watermelons! To receive packets, please contact the CCA at 205-392-2005 or join us in person on the grassy area across the street from the CCA on Avenue A in York from 8 am to unknown. Food will be served! All materials and gloves provided! Join is in planting the largest public watermelon patch in the world! Come to help or just stop by for a visit!
