Pick up entries from Coleman Center: Friday, April 6 | 10 am–12 pm, 1–4 pm, Saturday, April 7 | 10 am–12 pm, Monday, April 9 | 10 am–12 pm, 1–4 pm

 

The Coleman Center for the Arts is pleased to anounce the Sumter County Fine Arts Council Annual Juried Art Show. The show features diverse work by visual artists from Sumter County. The reception was held March 9th at 6 PM.

1st place was awarded to David Gosselin for The Chain, 2nd place to Liz Robertson for Mama Duck and Ducklings, and Peacock in Glass by Linda Muñoz received 3rd Place. Honorable mentions were awarded to Janet Geist for Hidden Sparrow I & II, Sheila Hull for Hidden Treasures and Willie Ann Poe for ZΦB.

Juror Kristen C. Law was impressed by the skill and creativity of Sumter County artists. She currently serves as the Arts Coordinator for the Black Belt Community Foundation. She studied art at the University of Montevallo and has worked as Curator of Collections at the Hermitage Museum & Gardens and as Ceramics Instructor at the Hermitage Visual Arts School.
